"Ctrl + Alt + Easter"

'Twas the night before Easter, and all through the LAN,
Not a cursor was stirring, not even a spam.
The routers were blinking in slumbering peace,
While updates downloaded at 12 kilobits apiece.

The laptops were nestled all snug in their beds,
With visions of reboots and clean boot-up threads.
And me in my hoodie, with blue screen despair,
Had just clicked "Restart" on a system unfair.

When out on the desk there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the keyboard I flew in a flash,
Tripped over a mouse cord and fell with a crash.

The screen came alive with a sparkle and glow,
An egg with a WiFi icon started to grow!
Then poof! With a pop like a USB stick,
Appeared Bunny.exe, clicking fast and slick.

His ears were antennas, his tail spun with code,
He bounced through my folders in overload mode.
"My dude," he exclaimed, "I’m the Easter-tech sprite,
And I’ve hidden your eggs deep in terabytes!"

He danced through my files with giddy delight,
"One's in your desktop—behind Fortnite!"
"Another’s encrypted in Excel row G,
And the third’s in a folder marked ‘Taxes_2013’."

He giggled and glitched, then said with a smirk,
"To find the last egg, you must do some work—
A riddle I offer, so don’t click away,
‘What hops in the code and loops all day?’"

I scratched my head like a clueless intern,
While Bunny.exe began to return
Back into the ethernet, fading to grey—
But not before yelling, "Happy Easter! Cache me if you may!"

I cracked open Notepad and started to think,
While sipping some coffee and fixing the sink
(It’s metaphorical—my sink was just fine,
But a rhyme’s a rhyme, and I’m pressed for time).

And then it hit me like a firewall breach—
The answer to riddles is always within reach.
"A loop with a hop? A for-bunny loop!"
I typed in the code and felt my brain swoop.

The last egg appeared with a glorious flash,
Inside it: a voucher for chocolate and cash.
I cheered and I laughed and gave thanks to the sprite,
Whose gigabyte giggles had blessed me that night.

So this Easter season, keep eyes on your screen,
For mischief and magic that can't be foreseen.
Be wary of folders you didn’t create,
They might just be eggs—or a malware update.

Keep your systems secure, your antivirus strong,
And enjoy every byte of your choco-filled song.
Whether Mac, PC, or Linux the Beast—
May your Easter be joyful, and digitally feast! 🐇💻🍫
